Russell S. Pace, 59, of Collinsville, passed away at 8:27 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, 2015, at Christian Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born Feb. 6, 1956, in St. Louis, a son of Bertha (Edwards) Pace of Collinsville and the late Alfred O. Pace. He married Belinda R. (McGee) Pace on Nov. 16, 1991, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Granite City.
He was the owner and operator of Pace True Value in Granite City, where he had worked with his family throughout his lifetime. He was a member of Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Maryville. He had served as a member of the Granite City Rotary Club. He enjoyed his days of playing pool with the Granite City and Metro East Pool Leagues. He loved his days boating and working on cars and especially loved Chevys. He will be remembered for the love and special times shared with his family and friends.
In addition to his beloved wife and mother, he is survived by sons, Russell (Kristen Ely) Pace Jr. of Maryville and Jason (Amber) Pace of Collinsville; twin daughters, Andria and Brittany Pace of Collinsville; stepchildren, Jennifer (Tony) Wolf of St. Jacob, Stacy (Yohance) Flager of Fairview Heights and Matthew (Leah) Milton of St. Louis; grandchildren, Robert Milton, Roger Wolf, Rayona Flager, Yohance Flager Jr., Savannah Pace and Skylar Pace; sisters, Virginia (William) Blackburn of Florissant, Mo., and Kathleen (Walter) Goff of Edwardsville; brothers, Alfred E. (Joan) Pace of Glen Carbon and Frank O. (Beth) Pace of Granite City; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.
In celebration of his life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon, on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visitation will continue at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2606 Washington Avenue in Granite City, on Friday, Aug. 7, 2015, from 9 a.m. until time of funeral mass at 10 a.m. with Father Jason Stone as celebrant. Burial will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Edwardsville.
