Sally C. Davis, 90, of Granite City, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014, at Rosewood Care Center in Edwardsville.
She was born June 22, 1924, in Des Arc, Ark.
She was a member of Word of Life Tabernacle, where she volunteered in the nursery, was a member of Word of Life Angels for 20 years and headed the prayer chain for many years.
She married Herman Davis June 28, 1941 in Gibson County, Tenn. He preceded her death.
She was also preceded in death by her father, Dolar Branham; mother, Effie (nee Canada) Young; son, George Davis and two brothers, Charlie Branham and George “Junior” Dunigan.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Linda Thomas and Deborah (Kenny) Nolan of Granite City; four sons and four daughters-in-law, Herman (Song) Davis of Oklahoma City, Okla., Tim Davis of Madison, Donald (Debbie) Davis of Granite City and Tony (Dawn) Davis of Madison; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Evelyn Harrison of Jerseyville.
Visitation will be 4 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014, at Wojstrom Funeral Home and Crematory in Granite City, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday.
