Shirley Mae Gann, 69, of Granite City passed away Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014, in St. Louis surrounded by her family.
She was born on Sept. 28, 1944, in Superior, Wis., the daughter to Lawrence and Laura (Gelling) Hanson.
Shirley married Richard Lane Gannon March 14, 1970, in Reno, Nev.
For more than 20 years, she was an LPN at Beverly Health and Rehab in Superior, Wis.
Shirley was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Nebagamon, Wis. She was a loving mother, grandmother and foster mother along with being a hard-working nurse. Her grandchildren were the love of her life.
Besides her husband, Shirley is survived by one daughter, Jennifer and Aaron Reeves of Granite City; one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Rachel Gann of Vancouver, Wash.; additional children, Samantha Kujava of Lake Nebagamon, Wis., and Chris Kujava and Rick Kujava of Superior, Wis.; grandchildren, Abigail Mae Reeves, Drake Reeves, Bryce Gann and Kaden Kujava; two brothers, Tom and Brenda Hanson of Cornell, Wis., and Glen Hanson of Solon Springs, Wis.; four sisters, Karen and Tom Sandmon of Lake Nebagamon, Wis., Lorraine and Jon Leffel of Omaha, Neb., Mary and Gary Jacklen of Glenwood City, Wis., Lee Ann and Dale Holmer of Lexington, Minn., and Betty Jane Hanson of Wasilla, Alaska; and many nieces and nephews,
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be held at a later date.
