Susan Joan Kokos, 60, of Alton, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015.
She was born in Alton on March 3, 1955, the daughter of Rodley Derricott and the late Patricia Joan (Hanei) Derricott.
Susan was a registered nurse and worked for Alton Rehabilitation and Nursing in Alton, and for many other places as a wonderful nurse in the last 39 years. She was selfless, always helping others and putting them before herself. Susan was a terrific daughter, sister, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie, and her spouse, Rob (Kokos) Copley; son, Michael Lee Kokos II and his significant other, Tina Ritchie; her father, Rod Derricott; sisters, Jill Teasley and Carol Okamoto; granddaughters, Kailei and Madalynn Copley, and Liyah Kokos; grandsons, Liam and Michael Kokos III; along with many other family members.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Joan Derricott.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, at the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Alton, with Fr. David Boase officiating.
