Theresa E. Gulash, 83, of Granite City, passed away at 2:52 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17, 2014 at her home.
She was born Dec. 28, 1930, in Madison, a daughter of the late Paul and Anne (Belusko) Gulash. She retired as an EEG technician from Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City after 21 years of dedicated service with St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was a faithful and dedicated volunteer with the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Granite City and enjoyed being a member of Senior Circle. She will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and many friends. Her kind and gentle spirit and her cherished smile will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her special and loving friend of 37 years, Jacqueline Kolenda of Granite City; beloved sister, Agnes “Pauline” Gulash of Granite City; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike and Mary Gulash of Granite City and George and Phyllis Gulash of Rogers, Ark.; many nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends. In addition to her beloved parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Gulash; and one sister, Mary Williams.
In celebration of her beautiful life, visitation will be at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows Chapel, 442 South De Mazenod Drive in Belleville from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014, with a Rosary service recited at 7 p.m. with a funeral Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20, 2014, with Father Gregory Gallagher as celebrant.
Visitation will continue at All Saints Catholic Church, 229 South 8th Street in Kansas City, Kansas, on Friday, Oct. 24, 2014, from 9 a.m. until time of funeral Mass at 10 a.m. with Father Anthony Ouellette as celebrant.
