Thomas E. Pollard, 81, of Granite City, passed away Friday, Sept. 5, 2014, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
He was born Nov. 3, 1932, in St. Charles, Mo., the son to the late Paul H. and Pearl (nee) Rood Pollard.
He married Shirley Vincent July 18, 1957 in Madison.
Thomas served in the Army during the Korean War and worked as a crane operator for 30 years at Conalco Aluminum until his retirement in 1985.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Pollard of Granite City; two sons, Jeffrey (Judith) Pollard of Pontoon Beach and Tracy Stuart Pollard of Granite City; two daughters, Marjorie (Tim) Hedrick of Fenton, Mo., and Clarissa Pollard of Hillsboro, Mo.; nine
grandchildren; one great-grandchild and a sister, Dorothy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Paul and two sisters, Mary and Barbara.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014, at Wojstrom Funeral Home and Crematory in Granite City. Private funeral services will be held for the family with burial and military honors at Jefferson Barracks. Online guestbook available at www.wojstrom.com.
