Thomas F. Feeney, 70, of Pontoon Beach passed away on Monday, Nov. 3, 2014, at his home.
He was born on Aug. 16, 1944, in Granite City.
Tom gave 23 years of service to Boeing Aircraft, retiring in 2013 as a core inspector. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a huge sports fan following the St. Louis Cardinals, the St. Louis Rams, Notre Dame and Duke Basketball. He enjoyed collecting coffee mugs and reading. He will be remembered for his kind and loving heart and the many special times he shared with his family and friends.
He is survived by and will be missed by his sons, T.J. Feeney of Granite City, Chad Feeney of Granite City, and Joshua Feeney of Pontoon Beach; his mom, Katherine E. (Converse) Berosky; granddaughter, Patience Marie Dickey; great-granddaughter, Lilliana Marie Dickey; sisters, Janice K. Yates and Mary F. Willis; and brother, John Berosky.
Thomas was preceded in death by his dad,Thomas W. Feeney.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, 2014, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. In celebration of Tom’s life services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014, at the funeral home with Pastor Sherman Smith officiating. Military rites will follow the services at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Juvenile Diabetes Association.
