Thresa K. Moxey, 59, of Collinsville passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015, at Anderson Hospital surrounded by her family.
She was born Dec. 16, 1955, in Granite City, a daughter to the late Willard and Cleo (Stearns) Herzing.
Thresa was a locomotive engineer for more than 30 years at American Steel and her passion was fishing. She was a member of the North American Fishing Club and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by and will be missed by her husband, Daniel Moxey; her brothers, Robert Herzing of Collinsville, Larry and (Mary) Herzing of Granite City, Danny Herzing of Granite City, Gary Herzing of Bethalto; and sister, Judy Helms of Bethalto.
In addition to her parents, Thresa was preceded in death by her brother, Glenn Herzing.
In celebration of her life, there will be a private family visitation from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2015, with the public invited from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a service to begin at 7 p.m. with Pastor Clint Wisdom officiating at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. Memorials are suggested to Shriner’s Hospital in St. Louis.
