Timothy “Timmy” Michael Showers, 57, of Alton, entered into rest on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015.
He was a beloved Son, Brother, and Uncle.
He is survived by his parents, Norman E. and Norma A. Headley Showers; two older brothers, Robert A. (Elizabeth Bauer) Showers of Alton and Mark E. (Jeanne) Showers of Alton; two younger sisters, Carole A. Showers of Alexandria and Virginia and Rebecca S. (Richard) Luer of Florissant, Mo.; and six nieces and nephews, Aimée (Shine) Lin of Chesterfield, Mo., Shannon (Jamie) Davis of St. Louis, Katie (Michael) Walsh of Ballwin, Mo., Christopher A. Hesh of Baltimore, Md., Cade M. Bauer-Showers of St. Louis and Laura G. Hesh of Atlanta, Georgia; and a “great” nephew and niece, Max and Elise Lin.
Timmy loved Disney, Batman, Superman, Spiderman, Wonder Woman, and Santa Claus (not necessarily in that order)! Timmy made friends with everyone he met, and he was always ready with a smile and a handshake or hug. Those who knew him will remember his happy heart and how much he loved life and laughter.
Arrangements are being handled by Gent Funeral Home, 2409 State St., Alton, where the family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015. Funeral service will be at Calvary Baptist Church, 1422 Washington Ave., Alton, at noon Friday, Feb. 6, 2015. The Rev. André Dobson will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Valhalla Memorial Park, Godfrey.
