Virginia Lucille Trebing, 83, of Granite City, passed away Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City.
She was born Aug. 20, 1932, in Madison, the daughter to Willard and Rachel (nee Williams) Tucker. She married Richard Trebing on Sept. 10 ,1955.
The loving wife and mother attended the Church of God of Prophecy in Alton. She was a caregiver and earlier in life she worked at Brown Shoe Company.
Besides her husband of 60 years, she is survived by five sons, Karl Trebing of Granite City, Kevin Trebing of Murray, Ky., Jeffrey (Teri) Trebing of Maryville, Alan Trebing of Granite City and Christopher (Kelly) Trebing of Pontoon Beach; four grandchildren, Lea, Hope, Ceejay and Mathew; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Fox and Lorraine Fox, both of Piedmont, Mo.; and close family friends Charles and Lenora Vaughn.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Thelea Faulkner; and brother, Sonny Tucker.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, 2015, at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory in Granite City. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Church of God of Prophecy and will be accepted at the funeral home.
