Vivalene Tucker, 88, formally of Rockbridge, died at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015, at OSF Saint Anthony’s Health Center in Alton.
She was born May 19, 1927, in Wood River, the daughter to the late Stephen M. and Alfha M. (McCorkle) Hufford.
Vivalene married Bobby Tucker July 6, 1950, in Sedalia, Mo. He died Aug. 16, 1995.
She worked at Owens-Illinois as a selector.
Vivalene was a member of Cornerstone Church in Alton.
Survivors include six daughters, Vickie Keeley and Dennis Green, Ev and Jim Hudgins of Chesterfield, Sherrie Short of Alton, Janet Tucker of Chapin, S.C., Ellen and Jerry Voight of Kampsville, and Faye and Bob Feretti of St. Louis; one son, Jesse Tucker of Grandview, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two sisters, Nina and Albert Ritchey of Alton, and Gloria Hufford of Marshall, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers, Nova and Stephen Hufford.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30, 2015, at Targhetta & Wooldridge Funeral Home in Brighton.
Burial will be at Kane Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Cornerstone Church.
