Walter “Walt” James Grazier, 52, of Edwardsville, passed away at 8:45 a.m. Friday, Dec. 26, 2014, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
He was born on Jan. 1, 1962, in Omaha, Neb., son of the late Jim and Pat (Varble) Grazier.
He married Theresa T. (Detienne) in Carpenter, Ill., on Jan. 8, 1983. She survives.
Walt was employed at Burns Nursery for 18 years in landscaping and then became a warehouse manager for Lombardi’s Int. for 14 years. He enjoyed yard care, cars, work, wave runners and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Shawn Grazier and Joanna Linneman of Fenton, Mo., and Brian Grazier and his wife, Sarah, of St. Louis; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thomas and Sandra Detienne of Edwardsville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tom and Erin Detienne of Edwardsville; four siblings, Brenda Kelly, Terry Grazier, Tina Grazier and Duane Grazier and his wife, Melody; two nieces, Mia and Ellie; and three of his favorite puppies, Bowie, Rutgers and Raven.
Visitation will be from 4 until time of funeral service at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto with Tony Jackson officiating.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014, at Lebanon City Cemetery in Lebanon, Ill.
