Wanda A. Mushill, 68, of Bethalto, passed away at 10:05 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015, at her home.
She was born on May 24, 1946, in Edwardsville, daughter of the late Harry & Wanda (Snyder) Lawrence. She married Leo J. Mushill in Key West, Fla., on April 2, 1966.
Wanda was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto, where she helped as a coordinator for RCIA for several years. She was the founder and past president of the Southern District of Newborns In Need. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, weaving, antique shopping, flower arranging and working on stained glass. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Leo; three children and their spouses, Matthew and Susan Mushill of Wood River, Michael-John and Liz Mushill of Cottage Hills and Amanda Mushill of Atlanta, Ga.; four grandchildren, Alex, Nicholas, Bailey and Riley; one brother and sister-in-law, Harry Cooper and Beth Lawrence of Monroe, N.C.; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephew, nieces, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Herman Lawrence.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Rosary service will be at 3:30 pm.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 28, 2015, at Our Lady Queen of Peace in Bethalto with Fr. Tom Liebler officiating.
Memorials may be given to the OLQP Food Pantry.
