Wilbur Lowell Beasley, 92, of Cottage Hills, passed away at 5:20 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, 2015, at St. Clare Extended Care Center in Alton.
Born on June 5, 1923 in Grassy, Mo., he was the son of Estel and Susie Beasley.
Wilbur had been a machinist for Alton Box Board before he retired.
He married the former Marie Rea, then later married Marguerite (Bourland) Anderson. Both preceded him in death.
Surviving are a son, Gary Beasley of South Carolina; daughters, Louise and Judy Beasley, both of Bethalto, Arlene Susie Beasley of Wood River, Darlene Bumsted of Independence, Iowa; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Leo Beasley of Cottage Hills; and a sister, Oleda Flint of Florida.
His parents; wives; stepmother, Ruth Beasley; daughter, Jeanette Beasley; brother, Cleo Beasley; and sister, Norma Jean Porter, all preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015, at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.
Burial will follow in Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.
