William Kiselka Jr., 88, of New York, formerly of Granite City, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014, at his home.
He was born on May 9, 1926, in Cleveland, Ohio, a son to the late William and Rose (Yobby) Kiselka Sr.
William was a lifelong iron worker for the carpenters union and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He is survived by and will be missed by his daughter, Faye Putman of Hermitage, Tenn.; his brothers, Ed and Bob Kiselka of Granite City; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister.
In celebration of his life, friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. Burial will follow with military rites at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Edwardsville. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the VFW.
