ST. LOUIS - Jon Jay and Allen Craig of the St. Louis Cardinals have teamed up for the Jay-Craig Celebrity Bowl, a charity bowling “party with a purpose” benefiting Great Circle from 7 to 10 p.m. Sunday, May 18, at Flamingo Bowl in downtown St. Louis.
“I’ve hosted a celebrity bowling event the past three off-seasons in Miami,” Jay said. “I am very excited to bring a similar event to St. Louis during this baseball season.”
Jon and Allen will co-host the event along with their wives, Nikki Jay and Marie Craig. The evening will feature bowling with Jon, Allen and many of their teammates as well as hors d’oeuvres, silent auction, DJ music and more.
“We are proud supporters of the St. Louis community,” said Allen and Marie Craig. “We are excited to create a fun evening benefiting the important services provided by Great Circle on a daily basis.”
Net proceeds from this year’s Jay-Craig Celebrity Bowl will benefit Great Circle, a nonprofit agency that provides behavioral health services to children and families. Great Circle provides services in areas of education, autism, emotional/behavioral health, intensive on-campus care, in-home crisis intervention, foster care and adoption, plus specialized programs like outdoor adventure therapy and trauma recovery programs.
“Growing up in St. Louis, I volunteered at Edgewood School (a Great Circle program) while in high school and I’ve reconnected with Great Circle since returning to St. Louis. I look forward to raising funds for an organization so close to my heart,” added Nikki Jay.
Sponsorships for the Jay-Craig Celebrity Bowl start at $1,000. Bowling teams (up to six people) are $500 and individual event tickets are $75-100. Guests must be 21 or older to attend. For sponsorship information, ticketing and additional event details, visit www.jaycraigbowl.com.
“We are fortunate to have so many players like Jon Jay and Allen Craig who generously give back to our community,” said Michael Hall, Vice President of Community Relations and Executive Director of Cardinals Care. “Just like our players’ selfless support of Cardinals Care, this is another example of Cardinals players and their wives going to bat to help others in our community.”
