The Mississippi Valley Conference recently released its all-conference teams for the winter season and the Civic Memorial Eagles found themselves well represented.
Beginning with basketball, the boys and girls both stood out with senior Jakob Lowrance as the top boys' selection for first-team all-MVC and sophomore Allie Troeckler the top pick for first-team girls' all-conference.
Freshman Jaquan Adams landed a spot on the second-team for the Eagle boys, while senior Zack Lehnen and junior Brett Lane garnered honorable mentions.
Junior Katelyn Turbyfill was a second-team all-conference choice for the girls, while freshmen Alaira Tyus and Kaylee Eaton nabbed honorable mention nods.
As for wrestling, the all-MVC teams were decided at the MVC Tournament.
Junior Drake Boverie (132) went 5-0 at the conference tourney to secure first-team accolades, while Brayton Williams (152), Brandon Carpenter (182) and Jordan Stagner (195) were all 4-1 at the tourney to garner second-team league honors.
Boys' bowling was represented well after qualifying for state for the first time in school history.
Ryan Hayes was tops in the MVC on the first-team with an average of 217 on the season. Phillip Ramos had an average of 212, third best in the conference to join Hayes on the first team. Jacob Troeckler (198) and Dalton Harshbarger (194) were second team and Alex Zukas (184) was honorable mention.
On the girls' side for bowling, Cori Beckham, Brittany Dickerson and Rahime Aliu were all honorable mentions for CM.
