Crabtree, a junior for the Edwardsville Tiger girls’ soccer team, helped them secure a share of the Southwestern Conference crown on May 10 in a 5-0 win over O’Fallon.
EHS went 5-0-1 in the SWC, sharing the championship with rival Collinsville. It’s only the second time in program history the Tigers have won the SWC. The other time was in 2005.
Crabtree contributed a goal and an assist in the win over O’Fallon. Through the regular season she was Edwardsville’s leading scorer with 15 goals and 8 assists for 38 points.
The Tigers entered the postseason Tuesday against Quincy in the Class 3A Granite City Regional. They delved into the postseason with a very respectable 17-2-1 record on the season. They finished the regular season rolling on a 14-game winning streak.
The Granite City Regional final game is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday.
