
The Lewis and Clark Junior High School eighth-grade girls’ volleyball team.
The eighth-grade girls’ volleyball team at Lewis and Clark Junior High School won the Madison County Small School Division 10-0. The team has only lost one conference match in three years, has the most wins for a season with 18 and the most wins for any sports team at the school for a season. The 18-2 team also had the most consecutive wins in a season with 13. The team finished second in the Alton Tournament and was upset by Carlinville in the regional final.
Head coach is Tiffany Falk. Volunteer coaches are Jacob Martin and Brittany Grayson. Managers are Summer Gensel and Kaitlyn Goodbrake.
The 2014-2015 eighth-grade team is Leigh Ann Nottke, No. 1; Kayla Aligholi, No. 2; Jillian Barber, No. 3; Alyssa Malley, No. 4; Macy Flanigan, No. 5; Autumn Garrett, No. 6; Emily Sidwell, No. 7; Kara Crutchley, No. 8; Madyson Voudrie, No. 9; and Ella Rackley, No. 10.
The school recently received a $4,800 grant from the JJ Watt Foundation for new uniforms and sports equipment.
