The Alton Middle School football team will be having its camp and football practice sessions this summer.
The camp is scheduled for 5:30-7:30 p.m. on July 25-29 for students grades 4-8 at the Alton Middle School football field. The first day of practice is scheduled from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Aug. 1 at the football field.
The cost for the camp will be $35. Checks should be made out to Alton Middle School Football. No equipment will be necessary except football shoes and shorts. All middle school football players are urged to attend the camp and any renegade players who want to improve on their football skills. The offensive and defensive agility drills and football skills will be taught by the middle school coaching staff.
All players who didn’t attend the camp will be charged a $25 fee to cover a lock and game socks. That same fee will be used at the end of the season pizza party.
A physical form and medical consent form must be on record or turned in to begin practice on Aug. 1 at the AMS football field.
Football equipment will be issued from 9 a.m.-noon on Aug. 6 for players grades 6-8. Eighth graders will receive their equipment from 9-10 a.m., followed by the seventh graders (10-11 a.m.), then sixth graders (11 a.m.-noon).
