The Class 3A and 4A all-state teams for girls' basketball were released on Thursday and Allie Troeckler of Civic Memorial finds her name listed among the elite once again.
Troeckler was named second-team all-state in 3A after making first-team all-state as a sophomore. She averaged 22.5 points per game and 8.2 rebounds per game for the 22-11 Eagles, which reached the Class 3A Benton Sectional finals but lost 49-42 to rival Highland.
Troeckler was joined on the second-team by: Abby Brockmeyer of Litchfield, Macy Weaver of Stillman Valley, Jailynn Lawson of Peoria and Kayla Ross of Burlington Central.
The 3A first-team was comprised of: Tory McCoy of St. Thomas More, Destiny Harden of Morgan Park, Nicole Ekhomu of Joliet Catholic, Olivia Kaufmann of Jacksonville and Morgan Griffith of West Frankfort.
Highland guard Amanda Ponce received an honorable mention for all-state from the local area, as did Triad's Sophie Thompson.
In Class 4A, Edwardsville sophomore Rachel Pranger was a second-team all-stater, while junior Makenzie Silvey was an honorable mention.
The 3A and 4A state tournament kicks off at noon Friday with Highland battling Chicago North Lawndale Charter in 3A action at Illinois State's Redbird Arena in Normal.
State continues on Saturday with 3A and 4A champions to be determined.
