For the second season in a row Jada Bruce of Godfrey has enjoyed immense track and field success.
Bruce, 9, advanced to the national Junior Olympics in Norfolk, Va. for the second straight year over the weekend. Bruce qualified in the high jump and the shot put. She was second in the high jump with a leap of 3 feet, 6 inches, while finishing fourth in the shot put with a toss of 16-1 at the Ozark Region 15 AAU Track and Field qualifiers at University High School in St. Louis on June 26-28.
The National Junior Olympics are scheduled for Aug. 1-8 in Norfolk. Bruce competes for the Royal Knights out of St. Louis.
