CIVIC MEMORIAL 191, LITCHFIELD 216, STAUNTON 229, ROXANA 255 — The Eagles reached the .500 mark after getting victories over Litchfield, Staunton and Roxana on Thursday at Cloverleaf Golf Course.
Isabella Roberts shot a 44, Maisey Watson fired a 47, Sophie Blagoue finished with a 48 and Carmen Phillips shot 52 to provide scoring for CM, which improved to 8-8.
Roxana junior Bailey Sharpmack shot a 39 to earn medalist honors. Other scorers for the Shells were: Amanda Morgan (59), Sandra Wilson (78) and Mabel Montana (79).
MARQUETTE 183, CARROLLTON 225 — The Explorers breezed to a dual win over the Hawks on Thursday at Spencer T. Olin Golf Course.
Ellie Kane garnered medalist honors with a 43. Lauren Walsh (45), Annie Kane (47) and Madi Connors (48) rounded out the scoring for Marquette.
MARQUETTE 146, JERSEY 177, ROXANA 191 — Marquette raced to the triangular win Thursday over the Panthers and Shells at Rolling Hills Golf Course to improve to 8-1 on the season.
Nick Messinger of the Explorers was medalist, carding a 2-under-33. Michael Holtz (36), Jack Patterson (38) and Duncan McLain (39) rounded out the scoring for Marquette.
The Explorers return to action today and Saturday at the Mattoon Invitational.
FATHER MCGIVNEY 5, MCCLUER NORTH 1 — Eli Skubish scored three goals to lead the Griffins to a victory over the Stars on Thursday at home.
Nate Dammerich and D.J. Villhard also scored goals for Father McGivney, which is 6-1-2 and will play a home match against Freeburg on Tuesday.
O’FALLON 1, ALTON 0 — The Redbirds dropped to 6-2 overall and 1-1 in Southwestern Conference play with an overtime loss to the Panthers on Thursday.
Austin Wilkerson scored the game-winning goal in the overtime period for O’Fallon.
Alton’s next match will be Tuesday against Granite City at home.
GREENVILLE 6, ROXANA 0 — The Shells dropped to 1-6 overall and 1-1 in South Central Conference play with a road loss to the Comets on Thursday.
Roxana’s next match will be at 4:30 p.m. Monday at Gillespie.
METRO-EAST LUTHERAN 4, FREEBURG 4 — The Knights are now 4-3-1 after finishing in a tie with the Midgets on Thursday.
MELHS scored a goal in the first half and three in the second. All four goals came off the foot of Kedric Norwood, who now has 17 goals and 6 assists for 40 points on the season. Stephen Korte logged an assist for Metro in the tie.
The Knights’ next match will be Monday at Carlyle.
COLLINSVILLE DEF. GRANITE CITY 27-25, 25-22 — The Warriors dropped to 5-4 with a two-game loss to the Kahoks in their Southwestern Conference opener on the road on Thursday.
Granite City will play its fourth straight road match on Monday, when it travels to Gibault to take on the Hawks.
GREENVILLE DEF. ROXANA 20-25, 25-19, 25-21 — The Shells dropped to 5-3 overall and 1-2 in South Central Conference play with a three-game loss to Greenville on the road.
Roxana will play Jersey and Civic Memorial on Friday in the Alton Invitational Tournament, which concludes on Saturday.
OKAWVILLE DEF. FATHER MCGIVNEY 25-20, 25-21 — The Griffins dropped to 3-5 with a loss to the Rockets on Thursday at Okawville.
Father McGivney’s next match will be on Monday against Hillsboro.
