ALTON 7, DUCHESNE 2 — The Redbirds improved to 5-6 with a road victory over Duchesne on Wednesday at St. Charles, Mo.
Abby Fischer and Hannah Macias won singles and doubles matches, Lexi Mayfield, Mackenzie Giertz and Maddie Saenz won singles matches and Lucy Phillips and Sam Clayton won a doubles match.
Alton was coming off a second-place finish in the Alton Invitational Tournament on Saturday.
EDWARDSVILLE 16, JERSEY 0 — Edwardsville blanked visiting Jersey on Wednesday at the EHS Tennis Center to improve to 11-7-1 in dual action this season.
Natalie Karibian, Grace Desse, Mackenzie Cadagin, Maria Mezo, Abby Cimarolli, Annie McGinnis, Emily Greer and Grace Trimpe all won in singles for the Tigers. In doubles victories came from: Cimarolli/Noni Updyke, McGinnis/Trimpe, Kilauren McMahon/Greer, Alyssa Wilson/Maryn Heidt, Cadigan/Mezo, Karibian/Desse, Tymei Deppert/Hayley Earnhart and Amanda Wickman/Wilson.
BOYS' SOCCER
SECKMAN 2, ALTON 0 — The Redbirds dropped to 9-3 with a 2-0 loss to the Jaguars on Wednesday in a CYC/Bob Guelker Tournament game at St. Louis Soccer Park in Fenton.
Seckman (6-6) ended Alton’s three-match winning streak. It’s also the second time this season the Redbirds have been shut out.
Alton finished with a 2-1 record in pool play in the Father Lloyd Sullivan Division.
TRIAD 3, MARQUETTE CATHOLIC 1 — The Explorers fell to 7-4 with a loss to Triad on Wednesday in a CYC/Bob Guelker Tournament game at Triad High.
Marquette will play Fort Zumwalt North in its final pool play game at 5 p.m. tonight at Fort Zumwalt North.
Chris Hartrich scored the Explorers’ lone goal. Brendan Nickloy recorded the assist and Nick Hemann had 10 saves in goal.
The Explorers are 0-2 in the Msgr. Larry Walsh Division.
GRANITE CITY 1, ALTHOFF 1 — Noah Mouradian scored the Warriors’ lone goal in their tie with the Crusaders on Wednesday at GCS Ballpark in Sauget.
Granite City is 1-4-6 and will play Gibault at 6:30 p.m. tonight at Oerter Park in Columbia.

CIVIC MEMORIAL 180, TRIAD 188, ROXANA N/A — The Eagles improved to 12-10 with a victory over the Knights on Wednesday at Cloverleaf Golf Course.
Roxana had just three golfers, so it didn’t have a team score. Bailey Sharpmack shot a 37 to earn medalist honors for the sixth time this season.
Carmen Phillips shot a 40, Isabella Roberts fired a 43, Reagan Walters finished with a 48 and Sophie Blagoue had a 49 for CM.
EDWARDSVILLE 168, BELLEVILLE WEST 224 — The Tigers finished their dual-match season at 17-0 with a victory over the Maroons on Wednesday at Oak Brook Golf Club.
Edwardsville extended its winning streak to 35 straight matches.
Paige Hamel shot a 38 to earn medalist honors and Kayla Weinacht, who played her final dual match of her high school golf career, finished with a 44.
BOYS’ GOLF
EDWARDSVILLE 149, O’FALLON 153 — Ben Tyrrell shot a 32, Tanner White finished with a 38, Spencer Patterson fired a 39 and Jon Ratterman finished with a 40 as the Tigers knocked off the Panthers in a battle of undefeated teams on Wednesday at Tamarack Country Club.
Edwardsville improved to 9-0 overall and 6-0 in Southwestern Conference play. O’Fallon dropped to 14-1.
VOLLEYBALL
O’FALLON DEF. GRANITE CITY 25-15, 25-15 — The Warriors dropped to 6-9-1 overall and 0-3 in Southwestern Conference play with a home loss to the Panthers on Wednesday.
Granite City will play Belleville West at 6 tonight at home.
