ALTON 194, BELLEVILLE WEST 204 – The Redbirds ended their dual-match season on a high note by beating the Belleville West Maroons by 10 strokes on Thursday at Rolling Hills Golf Course.
Alton, which got off to an 0-6 start, finished its dual-season at 5-10 overall and 3-3 in Southwestern Conference play. The Redbirds won their last three matches, all of them were in conference play.
The Redbirds will compete in the Southwestern Conference Tournament at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Belk Park Golf Course. Alton placed sixth in last year’s conference tournament.
MATER DEI 183, CIVIC MEMORIAL 186, TRIAD 187 – Isabella Roberts shot a 41, Reagan Walters fired a 46, Carmen Phillips finished with a 49 and Maisey Watson had a 50 for the Eagles in their triangular match against a pair of Knights – Mater Dei and Triad – on Thursday at Cloverleaf Golf Course.
CM, which ended its dual-match season at 13-11, will compete in the Mississippi Valley Conference championship tournament at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Belk Park Golf Course.
HILLSBORO 210, GREENVILLE 218, ROXANA N/A – Roxana’s Bailey Sharpmack earned medalist honors for the seventh time this season after firing a 43 against Hillsboro and Greenville on Thursday at Indian Springs Golf Course.
The Shells had just two golfers, so they didn’t have a team score.
Roxana returns to Indian Springs at 10 a.m. Tuesday to compete in the South Central Conference championship tournament.
MASCOUTAH DEF. CIVIC MEMORIAL 19-25, 25-21, 25-6 – Two days after snapping a 32-match Mississippi Valley Conference losing streak with a win over Triad, the Eagles suffered a three-game loss to the Indians on Thursday at home.
CM dropped to 11-9-1 overall and 1-3 in conference play. The Eagles will play at Jerseyville on Tuesday.
BELLEVILLE WEST DEF. GRANITE CITY 25-6, 25-22 – The Warriors fall to 6-10-1 overall and 0-4 in Southwestern Conference play with a two-game loss to the Maroons on Thursday at home.
Granite City, which is 1-7-1 in its last nine matches, will play Triad at 6 p.m. Monday in a non-conference home match.
EDWARDSVILLE DEF. EAST ST. LOUIS 25-15, 25-10 – Rachel Pranger finished with 17 kills and Rachel Verdun had 26 assists to lead the Tigers to a two-game win over the Flyers on Thursday at EHS.
Edwardsville improved to 13-3 overall and 2-0 in conference play and will be back in action on Wednesday with a home match against Cor Jesu Academy.
BUNKER HILL DEF. METRO-EAST LUTHERAN 25-18, 25-16 – The Knights dropped to 7-14 overall and 1-1 in Prairie State Conference play with a two-game loss to the Minutemaids on Thursday at home.
Courtney Fenelon, Ashlee Robinson and Ellen Schulte each had three kills and Lydia Flaherty had 11 assists for MELHS, which played its first conference match since Sept. 6.
The Knights will play another conference match on Wednesday, when they travel to Marquette Catholic to take on the Explorers.
EA-WR DEF. FATHER MCGIVNEY 25-21, 25-13 – EA-WR celebrated a home victory over the Griffins on Thursday.
The Oilers (5-14) also prevented the Griffins from beating them for the second time this season. Father McGivney beat EA-WR for its first-ever win in varsity play on Aug. 27 at the Roxana Tournament.
SPRINGFIELD SOUTHEAST 1, CIVIC MEMORIAL 0 – Jacoby Robinson finished with 15 saves in goal in the Eagles’ loss at Springfield Southeast on Thursday.
CM, which started its season at 5-0, dropped to 6-6 and will play Highland at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at home.
FORT ZUMWALT NORTH 3, MARQUETTE 1 – The Explorers finished 0-3 in the Msgr. Larry Walsh Division of the CYC/Bob Guelker Tournament after falling to the Panthers on Thursday at Fort Zumwalt North.
Jiggy Veloff scored Marquette's lone goal, Zack Weinman got an assist and Nick Heman finished with nine saves.
Marquette dropped to 7-5 and will play Father McGivney at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Gordon Moore Park.
GIBAULT 4, GRANITE CITY 1 – Lucas Rainwater scored the Warriors’ lone goal in their road loss to Gibault on Thursday at Oerter Park.
Granite City dropped to 1-5-6 and will play at Collinsville at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
METRO-EAST LUTHERAN 4, NORTH MAC 3 – Noah Coddington scored two goals and Noah Landers and Kedric Norwood each scored a goal to lift the Knights to a home victory over North Mac on Thursday.
MELHS improved to 6-5-1 and will play Gibault at 11 a.m. Saturday at home.
PANA 5, ROXANA 0 – The Shells dropped to 1-12 overall and 1-5 in South Central Conference play with a loss to the Panthers on Thursday at Wood River Soccer Park.
Roxana’s only victory came on Aug. 25, when it beat Staunton 3-2.
The Shells play Carlinville at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Wood River Soccer Park.
EDWARDSVILLE 9, GRANITE CITY 0 – The Tigers didn’t lose a set in their shutout win over the Warriors on Thursday at home.
Morgan Colbert, Grace Desse, Grace Trimpe, Emily Greer, Kilauren McMahon and Alyssa Wilson won singles matches and the doubles teams of Natalie Karibian and Abby Cimarolli, Annie McGinnis and Maria Mezo and Greer and Trimpe picked up victories.
The Tigers will compete in the Southern Illinois Duals, which start at 1 today.
Granite City returns to action on Monday, when it plays North County Tech at home.
