At 8 a.m. Monday, the Mike Parmentier era will begin at Civic Memorial High.
Parmentier will have his first practice as Eagles' football coach. The football team will practice from 8 a.m.-11 a.m. Monday at the football practice field.
Parmentier replaced Justin Winslow as CM football coach this fall. He takes over a team that finished 7-3 and qualified for the Class 4A playoffs in 2015.
The CM boys' and girls' golf, volleyball, boys soccer, girls tennis and cross country teams will begin their practices on Aug. 10.
The volleyball team, coached by Amanda Biggs, will have tryouts from 3 p.m.-6 p.m. Aug. 10-11 at the main gymnasium.
The boys soccer team will have its first practice from 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Aug. 10 at the Bethalto Sports Complex. Derek Jarman is back for his second season as head coach.
The boys golf team will have practice from 8 a.m.-11 a.m. Aug. 10 at Belk Park Golf Course for all players. There will be a practice scheduled for only varsity players from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. Ty Laux is the head coach.
The girls golf team, coached by Jane Middleton, will practice from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. Aug. 10 at Cloverleaf Golf Course.
The girls tennis team will have practice from 3 p.m.-5 p.m. Aug. 10 at the CM tennis courts. Matt Carmody is back for his second season as head coach.
The boys and girls cross country teams will have practice at 8 a.m. Aug. 10 at the high school track.
The cheerleading team will have its first practice from 3:30 p.m.-5 p.m. Aug. 17 at Meadowbrook School. Haley Hyden is the coach.
