The Twin City Post 1167 baseball team completed the season-series sweep over Jerseyville Post 492 on Tuesday night.
Twin City defeated Jerseyville 4-2 on the road to improve to 14-3-1. Twin City knocked off Jerseyville 7-5 in the last meeting on June 14 at Jerseyville.
Twin City will play in the Greater Midwest Baseball World Series this weekend in St. Louis.
On Tuesday, Blake Marks went 2 for 4 with a triple and a double, two RBIs and a run scored. In the last meeting against Jerseyville, he went 2 for 3 with two runs scored and three runs batted in.
Blake Vandiver had a hit with a walk and a run scored, Zack Seymour had a hit with two RBIs, Blake Weishaupt had a hit and a walk and Howie Fisher had a hit, a double and an RBI.
Logan Reardon picked up the win on the mound, giving up one earned run on five hits, striking out nine and walking four in five and one-third innings.
Spencer Heinemann picked up his fourth save of the season. He came in relief for Reardon with one out in the sixth and gave up one hit and struck out three.
Tuesday's game was scheduled to be played at Roxana Park, but due to scheduling conflicts, the contest was moved to Jerseyville.
