If you like playing washers and supporting a good cause, then Bowl Haven in Alton is the place to be on Saturday, Aug. 8.
A washer tournament to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society will begin at 5 p.m. on Saturday at Bowl Haven. Registration for the tournament is at 4 p.m. and it costs $20 for a two-person team. Anyone over the age of 16 and looking for a good time is eligible to play.
The LLC is the largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding research, finding cures and ensuring access to treatments for blood cancer patients. All the money raised will be donated to the LLC.
