The Birds were 5-0 in the two-day tourney, defeating Gillespie and Triad on Friday and following it up with wins over Granite City, Southwestern and Orchard Farm on Saturday. They are now 7-1 on the young season and have won seven straight matches.
Alton setter Sydney Schmidt was named tournament MVP, while teammates Savannah Fisher and Annie Evans made the all-tournament squad.
The Redbirds now head to Chatham Glenwood at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday before playing host to their second tournament in two weeks on Friday, the Alton Invitational.

GILLESPIE 25-19, 25-23 — The Warriors celebrated a second-place finish in the Redbird Classic at Alton High over the weekend.
Granite City finished with a 4-1 record in the six-team tournament. The Redbirds, who won the tournament championship, handed the Warriors their only loss. A year ago, Granite City finished 1-4 in the Alton tournament.
Senior Megan Burge and junior Morgan Tanksley were the Warriors’ representatives on the all-tournament team.
The Warriors will take a 4-2 record into their match with Civic Memorial in Bethalto at 6:15 p.m. tonight.
EDWARDSVILLE 3, WHITFIELD 3; EDWARDSVILLE 2, PEMBROKE HILL 0; EDWARDSVILLE 2, LAKE FOREST 0 — The Tigers captured a pool championship with a 2-0-1 record at the Gateway Field Hockey Classic over the weekend.
After starting tournament play on Friday with a tie against Whitfield, Edwardsville bounced back with back-to-back shutouts over Pembroke Hill and Lake Forest and improved to 4-1-1 on the season.
Junior Sarah Blume recorded shutout victories on Saturday. She finished with 10 saves against Pembroke Hill and five against Lake Forest.
Natalie Nava scored two goals in the tournament, one against Whitfield and the other against Pembroke Hill. She’s the Tigers’ leading scorer with seven goals.
Ansley Dorsey scored two goals against Whitfield.
The Tigers play at Rosati-Kain at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
GRANITE CITY 3, SPRINGFIELD 3 — The Warriors are 0-2-3 after finishing with a tie against Springfield on Saturday.
Noah VanBuskirk scored two goals and Jose Rios had a goal for Granite City, which tied its first two home games of the season and will play another home contest at 6:30 p.m. tonight against Belleville West in Southwestern Conference action.
The three goals scored marked a season-high for the Warriors.
QUINCY 3, ALTON 1 — The Blue Devils held off a hard charging Alton squad on Saturday at Piasa Motor Fuels Field at AHS for the two-goal victory.
The lone goal for the Redbirds came from Skylar Funk off of a penalty kick in the 69th minute, cutting Quincy's lead to 2-1 at the time.
Alton fell to 4-1 with the loss and heads to Belleville East at 6:45 p.m. tonight for a Southwestern Conference match.
