ALTON — The Alton Athletic Association’s 16th annual four-person scramble golf tournament will be Friday, May 9, at Spencer T. Olin Golf Course.
Registration, lunch and driving range will be at 10:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at noon.
The winners of all three flights will return to the course for a one-hole, $1,000 playoff. The winner will get $1,000, the losing first-place winners will get $500 each, second place each flight will get $300 each and third place each flight will get $200 each.
The $500 team entry fee includes golf, beverages, lunch, a $500 skins game, long-drive contests, closest to the pin, hole-in-one prizes and a putting contest.
The money raised at this event goes to sports programs at Alton High School and Alton Middle School. These funds are used to purchase equipment, uniforms, training aids, camp entry fees and more.
