BETHALTO — Bethalto Senior Citizens meetings are held at the Senior Center once per month on the first Tuesday of the month.
Business meeting is held at 11 a.m., followed by a program and a potluck dinner. Guests should bring one dish. Desserts are brought by the kitchen committee. After lunch and cleanup, participants play bingo.
Dues are $5 per year, and anyone is welcome.

Every Wednesday and Thursday features pinochle from noon until 3 p.m. with prizes for the high and low games.
The second Wednesday of the month features a buffet, followed by live music from 6 to 9 p.m. at a cost of $9.50 per person.
Country Line Dancing Lessons are held every Monday for advanced classes and Friday for beginners and intermediates. Lessons are from 9:30 until 11:30 a.m. A fee of $5 is charged by the instructor.
A senior van is available to the Bethalto area seniors by calling (618) 377-5859 one day in advance of requested service from 9 a.m. until noon Monday through Friday (no weekend service). The van takes people to doctor appointments, hair appointments, stores, banks and other local destinations. It is available as a free service to Bethalto area residents.
Bethalto Senior Citizens is looking for more volunteer bus drivers and dispatchers to take ride requests.
None of the above activities require participants to be a member of Bethalto Senior Citizens, but the club welcomes new members.
