ALTON — The Caring Circle Cancer Education & Support Group for women with cancer will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at OSF Saint Clare’s Medical Office Building, 815 E. Fifth St., Suite 303.
The topic is A Good Night’s Sleep. Registered nurse and patient navigator Karen Boyd will present health tips for getting a restful night’s sleep.
“Quality sleep is such an integral part of good health,” Boyd said. “Studies have shown that poor sleep affects almost every aspect of our lives. Your body does most of its recovery work while you’re asleep, so quality sleep is really important while going through cancer treatment and recovery.”
Held monthly on the third Saturday, Caring Circle is led by experienced cancer care professionals from OSF Saint Anthony’s Cancer Center of Excellence and offers women with cancer a chance to connect with other women about their experiences. Continental breakfast will be provided.
