Donald R. Treise
Donald R. Treise, 61, of Jerseyville, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014, at his residence.
He was born May 1, 1953, in Osh Kosh, Wisc., the son of the late Robert Henry and June Irene (Lee) Treise.
Donald married Patricia McEwen on Aug. 9, 1994, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 5, 2006.
Donald was a machinist at Boeing, retiring after 30 years. He served his country in the U.S. Navy, of which he was extremely proud. He loved riding his Harley. He and his wife were married on a motorcycle trip to Sturgis.
He is survived by a sister and her spouse, Donna and Rod Thiel of Godfrey; and a brother and his spouse, Glenn and Renee Treise of Alton; and many nieces, nephews and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Patricia.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014, from 4 p.m. until the time of a Celebration of Life service at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Charles West officiating at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton. Military rites will be accorded by the VFW Post No. 1308 of Alton.
Memorials may be directed to the Illinois Patriot Guard.
