John Richard “King George” Pithers Sr., 89, of Granite City, died at 2:08 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 23, 2017, at Granite City First Assembly of God Church, 2317 Madison Ave. in Granite City. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.
