Rosemary Ann Roberts, 82, of Godfrey, died at 6:11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014, at her residence.
She was born June 9, 1932, in Alton, the daughter of the late Ervin and Teresa (Spurgeon) Pichee.
Rosemary retired as a Production Coordinator at Owens Illinois Machine Shop in Godfrey and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton. She was a 1950 graduate of Marquette Catholic High School and an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. She had worked at the Coke plant, Frasers Flower Shop, and was active with the Republican Party for many years. Rosemary served as a precinct committeeman, secretary of Madison County Republican Party, Secretary of Godfrey Republican Party and a former Madison County Republican Party Woman of the Year.
She is survived by four daughters, Stacy Giddens (Jim) of Alton, Sheryl Goodpasture (Larry) of Brighton, Shannon Willhite (Bill) of Chesterfield, Mo., and Susan Robbins (Curt) of Alton; three sons, Steven Anthony Roberts of Brighton, Cole Roberts of Godfrey and Craig Roberts of Washington, D.C.; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, William “Bill” Pichee (Vaneta “Jo”) of Phoenix, Ariz.; and a sister-in-law, Jeannie Pichee of St. Petersburg, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Jack Mitchell Roberts; a granddaughter, Jordan Willhite; a brother, Robert “Bob” Pichee; and a sister, Jeanne Eubanks.
